I loved John's perfectly normal reactions! Should I pretend to be asleep? Should I say something? What do I do?!!!

But even more interesting would have to be the next night. The cold isn't going away right? So the next night when they share the bed Sherlock might have to consider John's "different kind of stimulation" and how it made his morning routine quite better! More and different stimuli would surely be required.

Oh, um, my. Right. Sherlock just does not have any clue about boundaries, does he?
I'd shake my head more but that would just make it hurt worse ( but that is not related your story at all, it is BRILLIANT, I have a lack of brain glue medication-migrane)
As to the prior comment about the next day being more awkward, well yes, but I'd also might imagine the next few minutes would be too, since I am not convinced that Sherlock would not somehow manage to observe as well as think at the same time, as he is the master of multi-tasking.

*cough* Strictly speaking, I wrote this a couple weeks ago for the Five Acts meme, I just got around to posting them recently.

Sherlock is a very special man with a very special brain, and I love him for it.
