Hi folks,

Thanks for all the wonderful good thoughts, prayers, etc.--Jasper is MUCH better this morning, and in fact by the time I got home he was awake, on his feet, and lipping hay. :) This is VERY good.

they have sixty (60) FEET of small intestine, and it's free-floating. *shivers* A horse's instinct is to roll when it is in pain... free-floating small intestine... Oy...

This, along with the human knee, is one of the best arguments against Intelligent Design that one can present. Design, perhaps. One might grant Design. But one simply cannot grant Intelligent.

I am so seconding you on the knee. Two -- count 'em, 2! -- cartilage tears needing surgery from utterly nerdy activities. (I do mean nerdy: first was a slip on the stairs going to my computer programming class in college). Intelligent my ass!
