I think there's a point in which every self-confessed writer feels the need to write something. Oh, don't get me wrong, the stories are always there. It's not like I can stop the ideas in my head, constant thoughts and processes about what would be the best way to go about something, character development, dialogue, but I often just don't feel like

I'm so bad- I have so many ideas for stories- some of which would probably only fill up a couple-of-pages short story, some of which would have to be full novels, but I can never actually write them out. I start so many and give up after a few pages because I don't feel like I have it worked out enough to start writing yet and need more tinkering... and then never get back to them! : P

So best of luck, from someone who also wishes there was a magical brain-computer-machine to translate ideas into word worth reading!!
