I have to subversively smile- I recommended Life On Mars to my pop and he was thrilled with it. the only reason I found out there was a BBC version was because an LJ friend of mine from the UK suggested I check out some Sam/Gene. Needless to say I kept that part to myself.

It's kind of hilarious how often I find movies or shows via the slash and later end up recommending things to people who would doubtlessly faint dead away if I casually added, "I loved the gay porn people wrote about this novel, so I checked out the book itself and immediately thought of you."

It's kind of hilarious how often I find movies or shows via the slash Oh definitely - that's how come I ever watched Supernatural... and many, many other things! Fandom definitely does media all kinds of favours it's not aware of!
