I went to the 2015 Women's World Cup final.

It was an experience unlike any other I will ever have in my life.

I thought of you the whole time and scanned the crowds constantly for your face! This recount of your experience is one of the best pieces you have written....you so deserved to be there....I am over the moon happy for you guys that you were there!! A true once in a life time experience....what a fabulous post...I love you!!

I felt the same way when we took you and Austin to the World Series game in 1993 or 94 was it? Although the WWC is much grander! And I did make it to a basketball game during the 2006 Olympics, but still....knowing you are a part of history on such a scale as this match was - one for the record books of all time on so many levels....you were there!

So I'm clicking around journals to get the download urls so I can update the database with all the premieres, and I see this!!!!! I am so happy for you and so jealous! I had contemplated flying up to one of the east coast matches, but in the end, couldn't take the time to do so, but you were there, two hours away and you did it!!!! WHAT A FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!!! The 2011 World Cup entranced my whole work place (we were on the road at the time and slowly went from watching reruns at night in the bar to sneaking in live matches streaming in the conference rooms during the day..) And this year, when we won, my ex-boss sent me a text of joy that night. I just love how everywhere I went, more and more people were getting into the women's game!

Yeah, in case you couldn't tell I've fallen SUPER HARD into the USWNT fandom (and was just discussing my desire to vid it with my roommate!) Hopefully there will be more soccer vids in our future! (Your premiere was ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL, btw.)
