Aww, honey -- I just emerged from semester prep hell for long enough to read this post, and it made me :D :D :D

Also, "the courage to try something that seemed scary at first" is so appropriate -- because that's what Cat Scan was for me too: a really big experiment, a deliberate push out of my own comfort zone. So the fact that it helped you make the same kind of leap is just \o/!
