Thanks to the holiday break, I had a few days to try vidding for the first time since before VividCon. To get the mojo flowing again, I slipped on the comfortable BSG shoes before walking around awhile in Premiere. They be very comfy shoes indeed.

Of course the vid's phenomenal. And incredibly unique and powerful. Plus the musicality is so involving (favorite part is the stop-start at 1:15, then the intro of the boxing-Lee - an impactful moment in many many ways). No surprise about any of that because... look at the username. Still, when it's been a while between jarrow vids, you kind of forget the reality of how amazing the feeling is when you watch one for the first time. Thank you for reminding me.

Get in, say it, get out.

Thanks, man! That clip choice took about .5 seconds to decide. "Hmm, I need something slow-mo, preferably where Adama is hitting his kid...and the show only has maybe 3 slow-mo shots in the whole series...AHA." Heh. I got lucky, basically.

This is frakking GREAT!

I love the emotional journey, from tenderness to pain to rage, and the final image of Kara spread out like the little golden angel that she is...oof. Wow.

Yeah, Adamas really don't get along all that well. (:

The impressionistic cutting style is really gorgeous, too. Fast but never too fast for the story. You rock out with the angst! Lovely. And a fine use of repeated clips; I don't normally like that but it totally works here.
