Unfortunately for Dan, the republicans in the house and senate are just as bad as - if not worse than - the White House mess. At least Trump has said he's for LGBT equality and protecting rights in that respect. Meanwhile, his boy Pence and a heap of the congress/senate republicans want nothing more than enact anti-LGBT policies to appeal to their super-fundy base.

Trump says he's for or against lots of things. To me, he's shown that he's for or against whatever benefits him at the moment, and then changes his stance later for new reasons, while denying the former stance. At various times he's been vocally for/against bathroom bills, abortion, republicans, renewable energy, universal healthcare, TPP, lobbyists, etc. I don't think he actually has any stances on anything, especially on social issues. His new SCOTUS pick has apparently said he's one of those "faith and family" guys. We all know the modus operandi of guys who say such things. Not knocking faith and family, just saying that's their classic calling card. But people like Gorsuch couldn't give less of a flying shoe at Georgie about us. Shitty times we're living in man. How it came to this racks my brain with what would've been had Al Gore won in 2000. Too many "what ifs".

I look at this long road we've gone down. I have yet to see any hope. To think there was a time I believed it would get better.

But I gotta let G-d do his thing, he's the one truly in control.
