When I listen to a song that I don't know the words to, unless the words are very, very clear, I will hear different words than the ones they say. And it's always a disappointment when I actually do find out the words to the song, because they're absolutely nothing like the ones I heard in my head (I htink mine are better, or at least paint a ( Read more... )

I do that all the time. Then I will be sitting in the car with someone singing to the music and realize that in the place where I had always inserted "Monkey's liver" they are singing "Love's so bitter"...then I sit there thinking, for the rest of the trip, "love's so bitter...are those the words? Oh man, how many people have heard me sing "monkey's liver"???
I truthfully prefer my version...

*giggles* I generally prefer my versions, too. "Monkey's liver" sounds much preferable to "Love's so bitter" :-3
