Apparently, the biggest problem with the computer wasn't the codecs.

The defragger was running in the background during the show. -_-;

Anyway. I'd say we have a pretty finely tuned knowledge of where we went wrong this year, so we have plenty to work with for next year.

Yea, the defrag was for some reason on auto run or somebody accidentally started it. I'm leaning on the 2nd, one of the security guys was mumbling about my settings and how I should use a different player than MPC. I said he could install G-Force so Kat could use it for her concert, but when I checked the computer the next day all sorts of stuff was put on it and somebody installed Winamp.

I watched the entire show on Thr's night and it was flawless. The system had more than enough horsepower to run HD video, I guess the IDE hard drive was just not up to the task of running defrag and HD at the same time.

Oh well, It's over... lessons learned for nest year.

Also, because of the technical problems I was told to rush things so we didn't go too far over on time. This is why I didn't go over the ballots in detail, I did go over them quickly before the contest and did the seizure warning. The sound was supposed to be checked before I started, but it wasn't...

Ok, Ok...I'm not going to go off on a rant.....

I will say there where a few problems this year with the new setup and it was a learning experience for next year.

Yeah, there were a few problems this year. There's always bound to be some problems. The important thing is that we managed to take care of everything to a degree. Overall though I had fun, there were just some things that I felt needed to be pointed out so that way we can learn from them the next go around. I'm not really trying to discourage you or anything in regards to this year, just trying to air some constructive criticism and vent in the process.

Besides, when it is all said and done these were mostly my impressions of things as they went. If you have any problems with anything I've said, get a hold of me, we can talk things out. Or if all else fails I can simply not be around next year.
