Writer's Block: There Can Be Only One

I believe in it, yes.  I also believe in polyamory, group marriages, handfasting, same-gender marriage, the truth of gender expression versus genetic codes, and any number of other relationship-type ideas.

What I do NOT believe is that there's only one way to eat an Oreo.

Sometimes... just sometimes, I wish it were, because then no one would be sad or lonely or hurt or heartbroken. I'm such a Pollyanna Sunshine, or I really badly want to be.

And then reality sets in, and I remember about learning from mistakes and how a bit of cinnamon really sets off a chocolate cake, and I give up on boring homogenized reality and substitute my own. :)

I wish there were a universal truth there, too. Would make it so much easier to be able to have people feel really satisfied.

A homogenized reality could mean happiness, but like you'd said, it would be boring, too. I like the variety, even if it comes with a lot of pain.
