was Sam Rockwell supposed to be in the movie? b/c I'm seeing his name on all the Jarhead communities but I didn't see him in the movie :)

He was supposed to play Swoff's uncle. But the movie handled Swoff's family life very briefly -- yet effectively -- so I guess his entire part was cut.

You know, I think that's Peter Gail and not Stone. The couple of pics of Stone on IMDb don't look like that. But I think I saw him in some of the tent scenes.

I jumped to the conclusion that it was Skyler Stone because I couldn't see any indication that the character is a medic. But after staring at pictures, I believe you are right, that it is Peter Gail.

Right, and I think the guy I'm thinking of in the tent scene was referred to as a medic, or had something that gave me that impression. I kept waiting for him to treat someone so I could be sure. *g*
