The local dramatics here is largely hosted by fairly backward farmer-types who think crudity is a suitable replacement for well-concieved jokes. Although, I rather thing the interweb is my stage.

The badges cost nothing. Gill made a few for the Convention, last August, and handed a few out to a couple of people (the first few Dark Clerks, Terry, Stephen, Bernard -- people like that). We're considering doing some Dark Clerky charity things, but we're only in the first stages of planning those. For now, then, the badges are for free. :) Gill's momentarily busy, but you'll have it as soon as possible.
