An Oasis SE. I got it from Hawk Cycles in Cradley Heath, or Dudley. Somewhere in that general area. Was only £129.99. That's the same as it would have cost me to order it online and put it together myself.:D
I personally don't wear a helmet, and that's partly because motorists think I'm more at risk and less experienced, and so stay away from me. I'm actually only slightly less at risk than if I were wearing one.
I think that is particularly accurate when it comes to me. I'm sorry! I don't want to kill any of you! On my driving test I went round a corner to see about twenty cyclists, I nearly gave up there and then. I think I imagine you're a lot fatter than you are.
And that's quite scary about not wearing a helmet! I just try and keep away from all of you but fail at that more often that not I think. Eek. Aren't you scared?
A little bit, but that makes me a more cautious cyclist.
Helmets don't prevent as many injuries as people think they do. And they increase the risk of rotary injuries.:( It's also been proven that cyclist who wear helmets get into more accidents because they're less cautious, and motorists are less cautious around them.
It's a bit like the way road accidents increased when the seatbelt law changed. People felt safer and took more risks.
Of course, by that logic, the most sensible thing you could do for road safety is stick a spear to every steering wheel, pointing right at the drivers chest.:D

Cyclists totally terrify me when I drive. I always think I'm going to kill one. :(
