Sad end to a day

So I'm driving down route 16 in Colchester and am almost home after a long boring night at work. I'm following another car when it happens. I see his break lights go on and the deer runs right in front of him. He misses it! Hoorah! However its companion right after him wasnt so lucky. I'm doing ok. I slept on the couch when I got home to leave the TV on so that I had something else to occupy my mind because I knew I needed to sleep. I take solace in the fact that the gentleman who caused her the pain was truly sorry and quite saddened at what he had done. He knew it was an accident, he did his best to avoid it and almost succeeded, he had damage done to his personal property, but he wasnt angry that some beast that interfered with him going to work. I'm glad to know that there are some people still out there like that.

I had a feeling that you might react that way but knew you wouldn't be sad that you had heard the story. Just that the story exists.

Reading that story made me a bit sick to my stomach so I dont know how id handle it if I was witness to it in person

Lets just say that I had a few choice words for the car that ended her life though he never stopped. Knowing that her suffering was over was little help knowing at how callously it was done.
