So, I started collecting Runaways. As in the comic books. lol
Much as I used to be exasperated by comic books in general, I actually really dig this series and I'll tell you why.

1) The team default gender is female.
2) The (original) sole male member is not the leader of the team.

Aww, I actually have only been able to read the second volume. My library is in the process of moving and has the rest of them in storage. I went to the comic store and bought all the issues they had though.
GERT!! Yes, she is my favorite too. She reminds me of myself.
lol, yeah, her and Chase hook up. (I think it's kind of hinted at being sexual.) They are so sweet and just an awesome couple! They bicker still, but when push comes to shove, they are there for each other. Plus, they really support each other emotionally and help with each other's insecurities. AH, god. New OTP right there.
Let me tell you, I was pissed when I found out she dies. Chase is still pretty torn up about it too. D:
