You've done it again!

Although, to me it reads more like AU movie!verse than comic!verse. But I think that's just 'cause I've read them and I know the details.

But I really liked it. I feel so sorry for Logan, but I guess there can't always be happy endings. Damn Gambit.

I should have put a warning or something ... probably the only actual "comicverse" aspect was the way Rogue looked, and the fact that Gambit was in it. AU was much more accurate. Glad you liked it, still, and since I've talked myself into writing a sequel, maybe there will be a happy ending ... one day.

I'd still argue about Rogue's looks though ;) Her hair is the comics is more auburn than black - but what's details in the face of a good story?!

Hope Wolvie kicks Gambit's arse. After all, they've never been friends anyway.

This was so beautiful in its deep sorrow. Gambit's happily in love and Logan bitter at his lost love. Both of them thinking of the same woman.

Love to see what and how Marie is to Logan. Even though she's more flesh than a person. Good to see that she had reacted in the end, when the others made them part.

Great work.

Logan is bitter, but he's bitter about the X-men forcing him to leave, not about losing Marie. (Hey, you left, buddy). You make a good point about her being more flesh than a person; maybe he loves what she signifies, rather than what she is? Will enjoy exploring that in the sequel - thanks for the bunny!

I'm with Bima. She's been waiting for Logan, and Remy is just a fuck. One day they will meet and she will dum Remy and jump Logan. This time she's an adult, so no sweat. Yep. That's the right ending.

Still, I love it :)

Hopefully I can find a little more pathos that that ... I am thinking of doing my sequel as a "Heartbreak Hotel" songfic. Doesn't that just say "Logan replacement" to you? And speaking of "dump Remy and jump Logan", EVERYONE who vaguely liked my fic must go straight to archive and read my favourite fic ever: M Jules' Kitchen Chair. Oooh ... *melts*

Conflicted? Surely that's a good place to be. As my personal motto says "What resolution without conflict?" Maybe you are fated to think long and hard about Romy and Rogan and realise that ... as an author wiser than me once said in a fic, Remy is just Logan-lite! (And hey, I've been Rogan from the start, but deep_salt_water above has got me reading Ryro fic. THAT is evil. I'm just vaguely naughty :)
