Oh, oh wow. I had no idea that Gambit was also part of this AU, and OUCH, but he's hurt very badly if he's striking out that fast and mean. Poor Cajun! And poor Rogue, really; how could she expect that he'd just take it? Nope, nope, nope. She was obviously blinded by the heat of the Wolverine's return. :)

Loved the way Cyclops was oblivious; Jubilee's plotting amused me. And the hint that Jean's still got Brotherhood hooks in her? Awesome!

I am SO looking forward to more!

I was quailing a bit thinking of you reading this. I know your extreme devotion to Gambit, but I couldn't see him taking this well, you know? And I also want to show that the person she was before wasn't very nice, or considerate, or even present? It's not just about Wolverine, but about Marie finding her way back, too. She wouldn't have treated Gambit like that ;)

I can completely see the logic behind those choices - and heaven knows, the Gambit in Reeducation can be PLENTY nasty when he's hurt, too. Don't worry, I'm enjoying the story for what it is, I promise - and what it is, is excellent!

Ooh, the plot thickens... :D I'm surprised to learn that Jean and Scott are married; they sure aren't acting like it, vis-a-vis Wolverine and Rogue, respectively. I have a feeling, though, that Scott's going to end up with the rougher end of the bargain.

Even more intriguing is the added element of a former lover of Rogue's actually being in the mansion, especially someone as volatile as Gambit. I'll bet Wolverine won't like that one bit :D Let the sparks fly!

And, oh, poor Rogue! Although we don't yet know the full story of her involvement with the Brotherhood, it must sting to have her comrades turn on her and treat her like the enemy.

I've been behind in my reading - so I read half a dozen chapters in one swoop and now can't wait for the next installment. Awesome story. I tend to write lovey-dovey Logan & Marie in my stories, so I love reading a different take on their relationship. *Bravo*
