You've lived (live) in some beautiful places! Whereabouts in CO?

That baby lizard is adorable! I used to catch little chameleons in Houston, that were crawling all over the apartment building, when I was a kid.

LOVE your art! Very meticulous work...I can't wait to see more from you :D

Wow, sorry for the late reply! I used to live in Evergreen, somewhere west of Denver. When we first moved there, there really wasn't that much there. So I remember deer coming right by the house, and a fair number of people rode horses. Much later, when I was in high school, we went back to visit, and I was shocked at how ghetto the place had become, and so disappointed. I don't think I'll ever go back.

Wow, Evergreen sure has changed since you were a kid! Damn. It's a huge bedroom community now, and you certainly don't have open spaces like that any more.

Colorado certainly has had a boom in growth in the past thirty years. I remember my folks' place being out in the boondocks, and it still is, but there's been a lot of infill between them and the nearest city. It's too bad. And yes, naggingfishwife and I are friends and see each other - we live about four miles apart.

You have a beautiful view. Japan seems a very interesting country. My brother spent three years there with the Air Force, up in Misawa. He enjoyed Japan and would like to go back as a civilian. I love pictures of Japan - it's so different than anything here in Colorado.

Aarrgh, my childhood~~!! XD Yeah, can't ever go back... I don't know about the history of Evergreen as a whole, but the place we lived was built on a ranch that had been bought out and subdivided. What was ironic was that the really nice elderly couple that lived about 20 feet from us, in a log cabin no less, were the original owners of the ranch!

Your brother was really far north then! That's a gorgeous area, too, very traditional and not a lot of sprawl. The greenery here is beautiful, but sometimes I really miss the open spaces of America. If you ever get a chance, Japan is definitely worth a visit!
