So here at the apartment in LA we don't have cable. We don't even have an antennae to get the network stations, and to be honest, I kind of like it. It has made me read more, and watch more quality movies, rather than just waste my time away with daytime tv, or shitty summer programming. But here's the thing: I'm out of stuff to read and watch! I highly recommend Hairstyles of the Damned by Joe Meno. It's a coming of age tale set against the backdrop of the early 90's punk revival, and it's one of my favorite books.

Neuromancer by WIlliam Gibson is the book that basically started the cyberpunk genre, and the man coined the term cyberspace. Really weird, but really good.

And if you haven't, definitely read Lolita. It may be the single most well written novel I've ever seen, and it's hilarious to go with thought provoking and somewhat disturbing. It's a master novel of the English language.

Anything by David Sedaris. He's hilarious and awkward just like most of us. He's the brother of Amy Sedaris (famous comedian). Also, a book called Cradle to Cradle...it's all about going green and green design. I mean, i figure you're in LA and going green is a trend...why don't you hop on that bandwagon, monkey. Just kidding. Miss you.
