I really don't get why she should be apologizing for having a private life. I think the Japanese way of celebrity is a bit rough and overky structured in a sense that there are way too many rules to abide by. Don't get me wrong, I don't think celebrities should be able to get away with things (Lindsay Lohan!!!!) but to have a private life, a relationship with someone, and she has to apologize for it? WTF O_o

that's just stupid ....

Maybe she was apologizing because she's still 19 and she went to a hotel with a man? I know that Japanese people are very strict with this kind of things and maybe agencies are even stricter than normal.

But I still think that's a stupid thing to apologize when you did nothing wrong. I hate the fact that all the celebrities have to hide their private life >.< [even if it's mostly because of fan's reactions *sigh*]
