Continuing from last year, the 'SMAP SHOP' will open from December 18th to January 11th at Tokyo's Akasaka Sacas. Fans will be able purchase many exclusive items at the store.

Usually the main theme of the store is 'MERRY HAPPY SMAP', but for this year it has been changed to 'CHAN TO SHI NAI TO NE!'. It means 'We must act responsibly!' A photo book titled 'CHAN TO SHI NAI TO NE! in NY' shows the SMAP members filming a commercial in New York.

The theme song 'CHAN TO SHI NAI TO NE!' produced by Nakata Yasutaka will be sold for a 'thank you price' of 390 yen. ['3' and '9' are pronounced 'san' and 'kyu' in Japanese. 'San-kyu' becomes 'Thank you'.] Along with the rare merchandise that is sure to sell out, fans will also get to enjoy lots of other things as well. Costumes that were really worn by the members will be exhibited, and special video messages to the shop's visitors will be shown too.

The theme 'CHAN TO SHI NAI TO NE!' is meant to convey the members' thoughts.
