I love science fiction.

Read enough of my entries, and that becomes obvious.

The first SF book that I ever read was A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle. It was also the first SF book that I ever bought, and it still holds a special place in my mind, even though it has been years since I read it

I'm a bad, bad person. I've never actually read Ms. L'Engle. I meant to. I certainly had access to her books. But it never happened.

However, I totally remember the school-based book clubs. Arrow, Troll, Scholastic Funtastic. I joined them all.

As for picturing actors and actresses in certain roles while reading, that's something I do as well. Sometimes books are just easier to read when you have a face in your head, someone recognizable, who makes the character come to life even better for you. Either that, or we're so used to books being made into movies that our brains automatically create a movie while we read. Oh, those crazy imaginations.
