*siiiiiigh* see, this totally could have been just a pwp h/c story, adn i still would have LOVED it becaues, i mean, h/c! but no, you totally gave it depth and subtlety and an ARC, and shadows of the future just pointed enough, and oh my heart, oh SAM, I am in eternal LOVE with your sam. *sniffles*

*HUGS* Thank you so much! It was supposed to be a PWP h/c, you know? (And what a great term!) But it grew, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. :-D

I love pretty much everything about this. The family dynamics are so gorgeous and just as complicated and true as they should be -- John seeming to feel that his son is invulnerable, and then not being able to face the fact that he's not (and not facing his mistake). I *love* the way you illustrated that disconnect. John crying by Dean's bed, and Dean looking at Sam over his head. *wibble* The escalating tension between Sam and John, and the imminent explosion, just over the horizon -- that tiny explosion which is just the precursor. The milkshakes. Dean cleaning the guns, and Sam's so subtle and lovely realization that things are back to normal.

I *love* this. :D

When I first thought about doing this story I kept thinking, What if this was a big part of what gave Sam the determination to leave as soon as he finished high school? Their family dynamics fascinate (and frustrate) me. *nod* I'm just delighted you enjoyed this! Thank you so much!!

I loved this. Dean in peril. John and Sam at it. Dean playing peacemaker to everyone. Oh, it's just lovely.

I find it hard to believe that I would EVER hate something you could write. Well... except MPREG. I think I might cry if that ever happens, lol ^^;;

*blows kisses*
