The embroidery project is coming into the home stretch. 2 more flower thingies to fill in, 10 pearls, 8 amber beads to sew on, and holding down the cross hatch. I fully intend to deliver this to the wonderful finisher tonight ( Read more... )

I'm sure it will be beautiful. The cuffs are also coming along - With any luck and a whole lot of hard work this will be beautiful on all fronts.

I think the entire ensemble with knock socks off. Now what I have left is to tie down cross hatches on only one area, and put the pearls on. I forgot the silk I was using to put them on. It looks a lot different than the rough draft I sent you before. I have an image at home and will send it off when I get there.

I actually am pretty happy with the over all appearance, it's just the technical issues I have with my work. I tend to prick my fingers when I stitch, and they get rough. So when I was working with the (nearly) flat silk I used for the filling I had to fight it every inch. Sigh.
