It appears that they're having a needlework-specific thing *in conjunction with* the usual University-type event.

I really hope so - the conjuntion of the planets is almost too good to be true. I have read about several practical Opus Anglicanum classes in the past. I didn't really pay attention to exactly where or who put them on as the other side of the country was out of the question.

It really is intended to be a big inter-kingdom embroidery-specific event. This is the first year they're putting it on, so it probably isn't yet what it is hoped to become, but it sounds like it is what you'd like it to be.

I am so happy abut this! I certainly do hope that this event grows bigger ad better as time goes by. But it is *this* year that the US Federal Government will be footing most of the travel bill! I will be thrilled to immerse myself in whatever is offered.

{edit} I meant to add - I will be where it is a 40 mile trip rather than a 2700 mile trip - again with the Win!
