Our copy of the Luttrell Psalter that is. Those evil people at David Brown Book Co. were offering this at a discount last year. I wrote saying it's too bad they don't do layaway, as I couldn't swing it. Ian wrote back and said - let's talk. We are in the Barony of Storvik, in the DC/Maryland area. With sufficient notice, and enough neurons and connecting synapses to remember, I can arrange to bring it with me to events. Of course, this does mean I need to get baron_rorik to make me a spiffy wooden box to carry it around in. It is *that* splendiferous. I had been planning eventually to make an embroidered book cover for a heraldry book we picked up 8th hand that has seen better days and needs a new cover. But that project just hit the way back burner as This book needs a cover to really show it off. Now I need to commission an artist to draw me a design appropriate to the subject. I can stitch, not draw. And the artist will get full credit stitched into the cover - any takers?

Well, I know how much that book costs _now_... and I'm not sure I'd take it out of my house. :) I've been hoping to find someone who has it.

By the way... there are goslings at the Hager House Park (where Highland River Melees is held). Lots of them. I thought of you when I saw them. :)

We'll get a chance to see them tomorrow, if they aren't scared off by the crowds. If you really want me to, I can put the book in the truck and we can drool over it there. I am a little wary of having out in public in the park. We can stage a field trip to the parking lot!
