Brienne gets LOADS of hate for not being "feminine" enough :(. Actually the way fandom abuses her strongly resembles the way that many characters abuse her in the books. Meh :(.

Uugh I'm so glad I don't do forums. I've lurked on a couple and when someone said that they're have liked for something horrible happening to another character 'as long as they didn't have to be subjected to Brienne POVs anymore' I had my blood boiling. :((( (and I'd like for people not thinking she's feminine enough to be in her shoes for two hours. >___>)

So far I've only discussed ASoIaF with my friends, so I wasn't personally exposed to Brienne-hatred. I just had my fair share of friends expressing impotent rage after reading something awful :(.

Also ugh Catelyn hate is ridiculous. I'll admit that she wasn't my favorite character in the beginning and there are things about which we'll never agree about, but a) by the time of that hateful thing in the middle of ASOS she had totally grown on me and b) she's an incredible character. All the bashing she gets is just totally not justified. :|
