Dean, Castiel, and Warren Zevon: three of my very favorite things!

I feel like you've captured the mood of the song really well here. Every time I listen to it now I'm probably going to be thinking about Cas - it's sort of a fitting soundtrack to Castiel's slipslide down towards humanity.

SPN + Zevon will always get my vote, but I think you've done a lovely job with it. bravo.

I agree, subscribe and reiterate your first line. Dean + Cas + Warren = indeed some of my very favorite things too. Argh, why is Warren Zevon so underrated..

I don't know why I never thought of "The Indifference of Heaven" in terms of SPN before - I guess I just don't listen to Mutineer all that often. But lately I have been thinking a lot about Dean and "Renegade" from Mr. Bad Example. I mean come on: "Some prayers never reach the sky/Some wars never end/Some dreams refuse to die/Next time I would rather break than bend."

I didn't use to listen much to Mutineer either, I don't know why because when last year or so I started listening to it a lot while in a I-want-to-listen-to-all-of-Warren's-records-in-chronological-order phase I realized it was actually great. It's a good record, not like you can go wrong with Zevon.. ;)

And ha. Renegade is TOTALLY one of my default D/C songs. Hell, it's on my header. *cough* Those lines are just so Dean, omg yes. And one day I will manage to write some D/C fic loosely based on Numb As A Statue which I've been wanting to do since forever and never managed for some reason..

This was wonderful. Stunningly on point for characters, and it is like Dean to come up with a solution like that. I like Cas and Dean watching movies and having a great / deep convo from it. Utterly awesome.
