... since I still don't know whether the day after tomorrow I'm leaving to spend New Year's Eve with the friends who were here last summer for three days, but I guess it depends on me finding a place on the train and on a couple of other things. Meanwhile I guess I'll unpack, catch up with the Hohoho fics I couldn't read between yesterday and today ( Read more... )

Welcome home!

I hope you get to go away with your friends for New Year's. I imagine none of them will annoy you with singing!

LOL well they are good singers though. ;) And they don't sing Italian popular music. Which is definitely good enough. I hope I manage and thanks! ;)

I hope you get to meet up with your friends! And have a great time.

Yes, the Man in the Iron Mask...not so good, but still, it's like a train wreck, you can't look away!!

It doesn't look too good sadly since tomorrow I need to have blood tests, the weather up there sucks and I'm feeling half sick, but I'm still not ruling it out. I'll see tomorrow. ;)

God, a train wreck indeed. But I mean, it was ridiculous even when I hadn't read the novels, figure that out. ;)

Hi! Glad to see you back, if only momentarily! Which version of Man in the Iron Mask? I haven't seen the recent one, but I vaguely recall the old one with Richard Chamberlain, I think.... not having read the book (I know, crime!), I couldn't say how butchered Dumas was, but I'll take your word for it!

Thanks! I think it looks like I'll be staying here unless I don't feel particularly brave tomorrow but the weather up there is terrible, I'm already half sick and I still haven't made up my mind.

I'm referring to the last one out, the movies with Chamberlain, Michael York & co. are gold ;) ;) I was saying the one with DiCaprio, Byrne, Irons, Depardieu and Malkovich, of which only #3 and #4 were well casted and which doesn't have a thing in it which is remotely Dumas-ish. ;) ;)

Awww, I hope you feel better soon - stay home and snuggle up - it's probably a good idea to clear out the bugs!

Ah, right. I avoided the remake like the plague. You can't beat a good Chamberlain or York, I'm afraid. Now, I'm glad I did. Thanks for the info!
