Understand that the word "like" in this case means, in the very least, "wouldn't immediately change the ( Read more... )

LOL well for the ones I like I can, too, but I arrived to the wagon ten years late. I wish I had to go through high school with BJ or GNR and not with Britney Spears ;) ;)

*sigh* I just chose the story I knew was going to get long. I just loved the idea too much but as usual I can't do that kind of thing shortly. I also wish I knew how the hell I'm going to post it but at this point I just want to see it finished first ;) ;)

These songs were big when I was in my last year of grade school/first year of high school. I remember so many of them played during dances. I was not, as now, very into music but my best friend was super into George Michael and GNR so I know those the best. And I sadly recall how popular Whitney (seriously!) was among many classmates. Oh, and that EMO Patrick Swayze song was on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack which I owned, but I did not like that one.

It's funny how we wouldn't know the songs in the year of our birth unless they remained popular. I took a quick scan at my year. There was a lot of disco....But also some solo Paul Simon!!!!

And your birthdate would coincide with Sawyer's youth too so I imagine he knows the Arab song.

You've done well with Lost Hohoho. Mine will not be as long.

I'm glad you got the card and DVDs. Boone will definitely wait for you under the mistletoe. Meanwhile the bear will keep Jack warm.

Thanks again for my blue shirt story!

I've seen Dirty Dancing once but I can't remember a thing. I think it was the overall kind of movie though, it's just the type that doesn't click with me. Thankfully for me I missed the Whitney Huston popularity period! Even if I got the popularity one of people who I like much less, but still.

Solo Paul Simon!! That's awesome!! I was hoping to find some Springsteen among Huston and the hair metal group (even if I like some hair metal *cough*) but I should have been born four years before for that ( ... )

Omg, Ahab the Arab by Ray Stevens?! I love that song! He's hilarious! I have a CD of his if you can't find a download of that song. My dad used to listen to it =P

Yeeep, that one. God, I swear I never listened to it before but latest evening my mother was getting worried because of all the laughing. Oh, I'd love the cd! I could always snag it from Youtube but I guess it'd have a better quality ;)

lets try that again shall we? sapphire_child December 16 2008, 11:56:38 UTC
I've got the Best Of CD - the song isn't exactly the same as the one on youtube (it's missing a verse) but it's pretty damn close. Uploading it onto my box.net account as we speak! Hopefully by the time you get this it'll have finished uploading? Maybe? My net is quite slow =P

I would also reccommend (from this CD) "Harry the Hairy Ape" and "The Streak" for the funnies, and "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" or "Everything Is Beautiful" for the pretties.

I love like half of those songs. LOL. Although #40 almost made me spit water all over the place.

Thankfully I can't remember 40 but I do remember 41, lol. I spent yesterday evening in fond hair metal BJ memories even if I was ten years too late. ;)
