The repeat of the numbers throughout this is really effective, and there's that constant feel of time ticking away and how that is affecting Desmond. Excellent fic!

First I squeed at the title! Way Down in the Hole! Is McNulty there too? And this totally fit my prompt. Thank you so much.

Poor Des. I could just see this thought run through his head. The description of the stale sulphur water was great. Also, shaving scenes are up there with bare foot ones for me.

Joni Mitchell! And CCR! Is my iPod in the hatch! That was a nice touch even though it probably was not intentional.

His hands shake again while he puts his trousers down and steps out of them, looking at himself. He realizes it’s sick, but he needs it once in a while. He needs it to keep his grip with reality and his hands shake even more when he puts his palm against the cool glass of the mirror.

I totally understood this one. He’s making a connection with himself and it’s almost like seeing another person. This is like the thirtieth time in the story I wanted to hug him.

I don't read a lot of Desmond fic but I am so behind on luau fic I figure I should just read whatever I come by, lol. This was a pleasant surprise, since I ended up really liking it. I love the way you used the numbers (i'm a sucker for people using them right for some reason). And this fills that gap of time very, very well.
