Someone on my flist pointed out that Doctor's eye, which is obscured consistently in this ep, is the opposite eye which he wore the eyepatch on in The Wedding. It's suggestive of the Doctor losing his ability to see and perceive accurately both internally and externally. He's travelling alone too much. He's given up his identity and gone into the shadows. He can't really see into the mirror anymore....maybe. The mirror inside or the mirror outside. Without a permanent companion to reflect the Universe back to him, where does that leave him? Nameless?
I love the shot of him underneath the teleport. It reminds me of all the time we see him underneath the console in the Tardis.
...And as i'm typing this, the next episode is being advertised on BBC radio :D
Oh, and i also liked your cut-text. Os-Iris. The dying and resurrecting God. Wonder how Moff's going to metaphorically resurrect Oswin, who's going to collect all her bits together and make her whole again. The Doctor is Osiris too of course, but you knew that already *hugs*
