Oh Katie Waitman.. I did a google search after writing the post. The other one I sort of check on is Dru Pagliassotti and a sequel to CLOCKWORK HEART. Sigh. And even Linnea Sinclair hasn't had a book out in a couple of years which bums me out - I hope she gets a new book deal.
Dru Pagliassotti has written a horror or vampire book I believe - her blog is quite nice if not all that regular and also deals with her life in academia. At least Clockwork Heart was released in Germany, too, even if the sequel hasn't gotten a book deal.
I think Kristen's suggestions to everyone was either talking about why you read women in SF or listing fave women authors writing the the SF&F genres, and I was like: EEK, I CAN'T THINK OF A GOOD WHY. So I went with the list. So if you can't think of a good post about thoughts on women in SF&F...list. My suggestion would be making the list specific. I went with favorite authors that write some sort of science fiction, but you could do something with favorite worlds, or favorite characters, or favorite something, and just write about why each belongs on the list. That's my suggestion if you are still kicking around ideas. Lists are always great! :)
I think I've decided to go with why "women writing SF" was my personal crusade back in the day. And provide a list of titles/authors not to be missed. :)

Yes to more Sinclair, as well - or maybe she could join Book View Café and release new work with them? Or do a Kickstarter, like Judith Tarr did?
