Despite loving Daughter of Smoke & Bone, I haven't given Taylor's other work much thought. I may have to reconsider, here...

Oh if you liked that book, you'd like this one too. I was "OK" over DoSaB (I think I'd like the series more as a whole), but I really liked this one.

I feel the same way about the cover. I was waiting for the paperback to come out to buy it but know that I've seen the redesign I'm probably going to get the hardcover anyways.

Yeah, if they had kept the same cover I would have been happier. I don't know why they did that. :\
