Oh, man, I LOVE Pride, Prejudice, and Jasmin Field. I think I need to read the other three as well.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever run across a decent modern-day rewrite of Persuasion? I've read two or three and they're all... missing something, I dunno. I can't really articulate it, except to say that I'm going to write my own and do it right. But if there is a decent one, I'd like to read it.

No, and I am on the lookout for one! Melissa Nathan wrote one that I liked but it didn't zing me the way JASMIN FIELD did. Also I think Abigail Reynolds just came out with one, but I haven't read it yet (called MORNING LIGHT, and it's a sorta sequel to PEMBERLEY BY THE SEA - which by the way is also known as THE MAN WHO LOVED PRIDE & PREJUDICE). I'm really hoping it will be good

Right. I'll definitely keep an eye on your journal and see if one of them pops up.

Still gonna write my own, though. :D

There's a Persuasion/YA/dystopia by Diana Peterfreund that I'm really looking forward to this year (goodreads link). Not quite a modern day retelling though.

Please do! :)
