Yeah, it's very different from AUSTENLAND in my opinion. Not so much chick lit/romance as it is mystery comedy. I think if I had started it without having that expectation that "this is probably like AUSTENLAND", I wouldn't have felt as surprised as I was.

Thanks for the heads-up on the differences from Austenland -- hopefully I'll enjoy Midnight in Austenland with that in mind!

Yes, I was telling someone it needed to be called MURDER IN AUSTENLAND so I would have had a heads up! Otherwise, I still thought it was a fun, light story. Just not expecting the murder mystery bit.
