My Hair Project - Update #1

Cassie has recently become a brunette. Darker hair looks so lovely on her. She's been highlighting her hair for years, and I'm wondering if over time her natural hair color has darkened. Yeah, the blanket statements are ridiculous. There's no one size fits all. I think it mainly depends upon your skin tone. All 4 of my sisters and I have grey in our hair, to varying degrees. I'm the youngest and have less, but still, it's there. The oldest, third and fourth oldest go with variying shades of blonde and it looks great on them, because they have the skin tones to pull it off. They also had the lightest color brown hair when youngers. The second oldest and I go with darker brown, because the blonde washes us out and we've always had a darker base natural color. I don't know the colors, but it's a medium brown with red highlights and it looks completely natural on me and my second oldest sister looks completely natural with her color as well. In fact, I like the dyed color on me better than my natural color. Like so many people of Scandinavian heritage, our blonde hair as children darkened and continues to darken still as we age ( ... )

I'm part Dutch, so that may go towards explaining my blonde hair as a child.

I came across another article that stated - going grey, go blonde! Ugh.

Yeah, I'm definitely leaning towards brown w/red in it.

Yep, that's Cassie with her new 'do. She lives in Denver now and works for a wind energy company. Lives with her boyfriend of 2+ years and absolutely loves Colorado.
