Things my mind does when I'm not paying attention:

"Gia il sole dal Gange
and a happy New Year!"

Thus do I unveil my Sekrit Projekt: I've been taking voice lessons this semester. I can *sing* again, by ghods. Not well, but much better than I could 10 weeks ago. It feels so good.

Good for you!

I've been thinking about sitting down with my guitar and Russ to run the video on the pocket-cam, and recording some of the old SCA songs from 20 years ago that I'm not sure anyone but me remembers any more. But I know my voice has lost a lot of its oomph since the last time I was singing regularly, so I'm waffling.

If you were looking for votes, that sounds like it would be a good addition to the archives, on YouTube if nothing else.

I agree with Rick -- even if your voice isn't perfect, it's better than losing the songs.

If you're near a college or university, you could check with their music department -- I got my lessons because a friend was taking Music Pedagogy and had to have two students.

Well done!

I had a couple of singing lessons a number of years ago. I came across the recordings a little while back and moved them to my iPod. I have been practicing the things we covered in one voice lesson for, well, a while now, and I think I am getting better. It's a good feeling.

Squrrl: We sing for the DirtyYardBirds.
Houdini: At night, to let them know we are watching out for Coyotoe and Owl.
Squrrl: So that Coyote and Owl know we are here.

Singing is good for you.

Good to hear from you -- yes, singing makes me feel good.

I'm glad you're there to protect the DirtyYardBirds from Owl and Coyote.
