For costume shops, I recommend Costume Magic on Howe Street (just off K Road) or First Scene in Kingsland. (Don't worry, I'm sure these directions will make sense to Alan) Costume Magic is more affordable but First Scene is like WHOA in terms of sheer range and awesomeness.
