239/240: Friday Morning

Trying to ignore the fact that she'd had a lousy morning, Janet unlocked the door to her room and set her suitcase and backpack, along with a somewhat inexplicable cheerleading outfit in blue and gold next to the door so she could unpack later.

Parker came by and rapped on the doorframe. "Hey. You're back. Up for visitors, or crashing out?"

"No, please, distract me from my thoughts," said Janet. "How's it going?"

"It's all kinds of good and bad. Smashed together." Parker wandered restlessly around the room, then said, "Did you guys ever dig my cigarettes out of here?"

"I'm sorry to hear that. What's wrong?" asked Janet, looking concerned. "Even if we didn't--and I honestly can't remember if we did or not--you couldn't have one."

Elizabeth might have forgotten to set her alarm.

Which meant that she might still be in bed.

And she might be in Janet's bed instead of her own.

Janet smiled at Liz, who looked to still be asleep.

It took her a minute to realize Liz was sleeping in Janet's bed.

Elizabeth stirred slightly, stretching her arms above her head and kicking at the blankets.

"Hey," said Janet softly, not wanting to wake Liz up if she was sleeping soundly.
