Wol in de Wei and sunburn and new socks

Yesterday I visited Wol in de Wei ("Wool in the meadow") at my friend Tyldak's home. She lives in a teensy village, wedged between two rivers in the mythical Land of Maas and Waal. Their large farmstead comes with a good bit of land (in the middle of the village!) and twice a year they gear up the back yard to welcome visitors. I've been to their
