Your first big fandom-drift is the hardest, especially when your friends aren't all drifting at the same rate. (I'm sure I'll watch XFC one of these days!) I still get requests for a sequel to a fic I wrote back in 2006, and i haven't been in that fandom for almost two years now.
Also: "well-kept secret" lol. I've never gotten that few responses on a fic in my life. Damn between-album hiatus.
Fandom-drift. Yeah, that's what it is. Lol XFC is awesome and there's ALL THE FIC but I'm all over Sherlock like a cheap suit.
*Sigh* That frustrates me about your fic because I truly think you're one of the best writers in this fandom. And it's awesome, and your Tommy is kind of presh and I just want to collectively shake EVERYONE and go OH MY GOD HAVE YOU READ FOOLS_GAME'S FIC YET???? *sigh*
I remember about your mom being sick and you not feeling good about where that was headed, but didn't realize she had passed. Bad friend of me! I should have asked after her.
Don't stress about passing on to new interests - if it's not fun, you're doing it wrong. I wonder if you could get out of some of the guilt on the old charity stuff by putting out something quick and dirty ;) Maybe team up with someone else and co-write? Outline it and have someone else write it and you beta? IDK, people were giving for charity so if their heart was in the right place that was their focus. Maybe something is better than nothing. I know I hate having things hanging over my head unfinished. *eyes stack of notes from old job that haunt me*
You have written complex plottier stuff, but it's probably not going to happen if you're not inspired.
Put you and your little one first as usual and no guilt for that :)

I'm still hanging out with the fandom people on twitter. It's mostly the fic I've drifted from. I've definitely made some good friends here :-)

The charity fics keep kicking up like dust in my eyes - lol. I'm not stressing too much, but I wish they were magically done.
