I love my dog so much. All I want to do is lie on the couch with her and watch movies (this involves laziness as well as love).

I gave her a bath tonight and I keep wanting to put my nose into her fur to smell her.

You could purchase the sweater (and shirt) as a reward for achieving a goal--such as eating an entire pie in one setting. However, if that happens to be the case, you may want to purchase one size up (or two, depending on the type of pie) from your regular size.

OR, you convince yourself of the need to dress for success--keeping up a business casual appearance is expected of you.

OR, you have an anniversary approaching. Isn't the gift for the first anniversary to be chosen from the "something knitted" category?

An intense desire can always be justified....you simply "spin" until you've convinced yourself. Unless you truly are working on self-discipline in your purchasing. In THAT case, disregard the above suggestions...
