I knew as soon as I saw this that you would not resist commenting on it. I have now put this high on my list to read.

Am I wrong to think the best reason to read the classics is to better appreciate the reviews in 50bookchallenge?

Well, it is as good of a reason as any, I guess. My previous reason was because I got it in my head to read all the books on the three lists here, and it is on Radcliffe's list (my favorite so far of the three. Now, I just have additional incentive.

If I begin to read a book and I realize that all characters are not straight white women who are twenty-eight years old and work for Target and prefer Coke products to Pepsi products, I throw it at the wall in a fit and then I call my friends over to help me build a bonfire.
