Scarves. Always scarves. I was just explaining to one of my co-workers today: I am far too impatient for anything else. Erica laugh at me because I know HOW to do other things, I simply don't want to. I hate it. I get frustrated and put things away if they're more complex than a scarf.

That said, I'm working on a delicious fluffy charcoal gray scarf and a really soft green/cream (one yarn) ribbed scarf.

I wish I knew how to do that.. that sounds so relaxing. Is it difficult? The only "knitting" I've ever done was in high school, and I don't think it was really called knitting.. it was in one of those little circular thingies? Anyways.. I made this really long coil which I sewed into a hat. It was kind of cool.. slightly too small for my head though.. gives me a headache when I try to wear it!

Now I want to knit.. screw this studying thing. I need something tactile..

I'm going to second Beirut - I just had them recommended to me a couple weeks ago and I'm really enjoying them.

not sure what kind of stuff you listen to, but I can recommend a few Canadian bands that you may not have listened to before! Hot Hot Heat, The Arcade Fire, Sloan, Matt Good, The Weakerthans (SO GOOD)...

That's all I've got for now ;)
