Christmas Eve in the Somebody Household

frodo_lad: "I'm sorry, Mummy, I've lost Jesus down the back of the sofa."

This was the small cloth baby Jesus from our velcro-on Nativity scene Advent Calendar, who was due to be put in the manger today. Happily skordh was able to fish him out from behind the sofa with a long stick, so the Christmas story was able to proceed to its familiar conclusion ( Read more... )

At least he'll have something to say in later life, when Smug Evangelicals ask him if he's found Jesus. "No, but Daddy was able to fish him out from behind the sofa for me".

Good point. I was a bit concerned about his character, having lost Jesus at such tender years, but was fully prepared to blame it on your husband for having failed to sufficiently look after his spiritual health anyway :-)
