another short one

clearly my brain is only thinking in two-sentence long spurts today.

does anyone have one of those package deals from verizon or time warner where you get your digital cable and internet connection from the same company? i know they give massive discounts for the 'triple play' etc. any recommendations or unrecommendations?

thanks!

Becky and I have the "triple play" from Cablevision or "io" or whatever they are calling it these days. It has been pretty stress free so far. And I think you can get the whole package for about $100 the first year - a little more if you want extra movie channels.

that's $100 per month of course. if it was $100 per year I would move just to get new cable.

hehe, yeah, i knew what you meant :) i just have some misgivings about entrusting even mroe of myu services with verizon, considering what a massive pain they were to deal with when we got the cablemodem installed in this apt. maybe things have improved in the last 5 years though.

over here we have the Verizon DSL/Phone deal thing. It's not to shabby depending on your phone bill.

do you get your cable through them too? they make it sound liek there's no deal for 2 instead of 3, but i have a feeling if i ask the right person they'll come through with something.

we have vonage for phone- it's really cheap and the service is fine. i don't like the phone they gave us though, we're getting a new one. we've got time warner for cable and internet. good stuff.

Uhm, although Verizon cell service works well even upstate, they are a little flaky when it comes to successful DSL service. I think it is that way up here cause they are putting the Fios cables in, so it might not be the same down there. The price is right, though.
