At fearthainn's prompting, I signed up to rec 50 Draco/Ginny fics for rec50. Luckily for my light-side, there is a fabulous rec'er for H/G (r_becca) and I need to do the dark-side justice...
For both "dark" and "Death" I would recommend cupiscent's stories. Eden is a very dark story that stuck with me, and for "Death" I'd say Firebrand She's also got a H/D/G story, Bring Out Your Dead that would suit the "Threesomes" category nicely. :)
For "light" I'd rec strangerface's story "Lost", which is one of my favourites. :)
Technically, no, I do the reccing but you can suggest and then I read and if I haven't got that one covered yet (or I like it better then the one I prepared then I do it... why... what ya got??
AGHGHG! I would MUCH rather have another chappie of IWNLYLM (wow that's a mouthfull to type)... :) To heck with the quote... *giggles*
I used that story for that category... we are using the same brainwave girl... (and I am telepathically saying... write more of evil wife-beating Harry.....) :)
You've done a really good job, missy! I like where you put Anise's "Requiem for Draco's Dream" (Crossover). That's where it belongs. I'm anxious to read more of Irina's Pendragon series, aren't you? I've really enjoyed it so far.
Excellent call on the angst category. There is NONE better. I don't envy you, but you have done a great job with this!
Yeah.. I loved Requiem... and I tried reading other Crossover stuff (like Buffy/HP) and it was dreadful. Then someone rec'd Requiem for 'Dream' and I thought I detected hints of Neil Gaiman (Though I have never read him I have a few people on my flist that are mad NG fans) so I wrote her over at the rising from the ashes yahoo group and she said it was infact a NG Crossover. Yay for me! (I felt SO SO bad after reading it... but I like my Draco/Ginny all fluffy by the end

The whole truth...sue_brideheadOctober 30 2005, 08:08:34 UTC
All I told them was that you liked D/G, H/G and R/Hr. Most of us like all of those ships (although a couple of us enjoy D/Hr as well), so we can talk fanfic without having to deal with any shipping wars. I also told them you were helping to save House Rivalry, which I think impressed a few of them. And that you think Tom Felton is uber-hot! :D
What made me think of you joining up was that you had mentioned PhoenixRae (aka Leen) in your Rec50 list, and she's one of our most active members. Based on what I knew about you, I just thought you'd enjoy it.

*wipes forehead* I'm glad I rec'd the "Death" Prompt then...
And I wasn't worried or anything... someone just said they'd heard a lot about me (but of course I KNEW you'd be wonderful and sweet when speaking about moi!) ;)
and you are a great judge of character... cuz I'm really excited about it... now I just have to figure out everyone fanfic world names and their real-world names and their LJ world names... couldn't everyone just keep it all the same.... Leen, pheonixrae, PheonixRae... AHGHGH! I know there are LJ's for several of the authors I've rec'd (like Sarea and Jade Okelani) but I don't know them so I've never really been at their journal... do they want their LJ names put here? You never know...
Oh yeah, in case you were wondering... I have your story (UD) as my next Reccer choice... I am just having a heck of time trying to decide what little short excerpt to use... Hmmm.
It's okay for you to put my LJ username next to the stories of mine you recced. Which, by the way, thank you so much. No one really seemed to care that much about Girls of Hogwarts. I'm glad you liked it. :)
I adored it. You are one of my faves... I thought the letters were extreamly witty and everytime I read it I chuckle again. The only thing about GoH I didn't like was how Ginny was so quick to mention her family's lack of fundage... I think she'd be too proud to just put that out there like that... but even with that I adore the fic. I am glad you checked out the table! ;)
PS I didn't realise you had an LJ at the time... but now I will correct all of the times I rec'd you! ;)
