I am also a California girl and have been most of my life. I would not want four seasons. I wouldn't mind summer all year long; I love the long days. We do get the coloring of leaves in autumn and that would be the only thing I would miss if we had summer all year long.

I was just smiling to myself the other day, watching the postman as he went along our street. It was faintly drizzling and he had on his pith helmet, a light windbreaker, and bermuda shorts. This is mid-December. So typical year round. I can always go up into the mountains if I want snow.
